✓ Teams that want automatic IP exclusions instead of manual lists
✓ Owners who want a free trial to compare blocked clicks with Google's Invalid clicks column
— Advertisers with very few paid clicks a month
— Anyone still to open the Invalid clicks column, IP exclusions and location settings in Google Ads
— Advertisers who need Microsoft Ads or spend-based pricing, where a rival may fit better
— Anyone expecting a guarantee that every bad click will be caught
Best click fraud protection software: what the choice depends on
The best click fraud protection software for Google Ads depends on three things: what the tool counts, which ad networks you run, and how much Google already filters for you. Google says you are not charged for invalid traffic it detects before billing and that later finds are credited. So a paid tool earns its fee only on what Google misses.
Each tool below is read from its own pricing or home page as of October 24, 2026. Amounts stay on those pages, and the groups are by meter, not by merit.
Five options, grouped by what they count
- Fraud Blocker: plans sized by ad clicks. It lists Google Ads and Meta Ads, a 7-day free trial, and an exported IP list for other networks.
- ClickCease: plans sized by monthly protected website traffic. It lists Google, Meta and Microsoft Ads, bot protection for WordPress and lead protection for HubSpot forms.
- ClickGUARD: plan tiers banded by monthly ad spend with unlimited clicks. Its entry tier lists protection for Meta, Microsoft or Google Ads, higher tiers list all three, and its pricing page links a click fraud calculator.
- TrafficGuard: a Shield plan for Google Search up to a stated monthly ad spend, and a custom enterprise plan for higher spend, Meta, affiliate and mobile. Its pricing page lists a 30-day free trial.
- Lunio: price quoted on request as a small fraction of your ad spend, with a 14-day free traffic audit and many channels listed.
Pick by job: criteria and fit
- One website and Google Ads only: a click-metered or spend-banded entry plan, such as Fraud Blocker, ClickGUARD Lite or TrafficGuard Shield.
- Google, Meta and Microsoft Ads together: ClickCease, ClickGUARD or Lunio list all three.
- Performance Max campaigns: Google does not allow campaign-level IP exclusions there, according to Fraud Blocker's guide, so ask how a tool applies blocks. ClickCease lists PMax protection through IP blocking and audience exclusions, ClickGUARD lists PMax coverage, and TrafficGuard places its PMax Shield on the enterprise plan.
- Agencies and high spend: look at Fraud Blocker Enterprise, TrafficGuard's enterprise plan or Lunio, where pricing is by contact.
Use invalid traffic standards to compare tools
The MRC, the industry body that accredits ad measurement, separates general invalid traffic, caught by lists and standard checks, from sophisticated invalid traffic that needs advanced analytics and human review. Ask each vendor which group it detects and how it reports a blocked click. Google keeps its own detection methods confidential, so a third-party report cannot be matched to Google's filtered clicks one by one. Compare tools on reporting detail and trial results in your account, not on headline percentages.
Read vendor best-of lists with care
Most tools in this space publish their own lists and comparisons. Fraud Blocker's list places Fraud Blocker first, and rivals publish their own comparisons too, such as the Lunio vs ClickCease article linked from Lunio's pricing page. That is normal for vendor content, and it means such lists are one side's position. The pricing pages above give the plan facts each vendor controls, and the Fraud Blocker vs ClickCease guide shows how two meters compare.
When no tool is the best tool
If your monthly paid clicks are low, or Google's Invalid clicks column already shows most of what you worry about, the free checks in the click fraud checks guide cost nothing. For plan sizes and terms of one option, see the Fraud Blocker pricing guide.
