A plumbing company spending about $4,000 a month on Google Search ads sees many clicks with no calls and the same visitors coming back. It wants to know whether Google already credits those clicks. Google removes invalid traffic before billing, does not charge for invalid clicks, and credits what it finds after the invoice where appropriate and possible.
To see it, add the Invalid clicks column to the Campaigns table, then open Billing, Summary and look under the Adjustments dropdown in the Month card for credits labeled Invalid activity. To cut waste beyond what Google credits, switch the location option from Presence or interest to Presence, add negative keywords, and add IP exclusions for repeat visitors. Fraud Blocker's guide says Search, Display and Standard Shopping campaigns accept them.
Fraud Blocker Standard for Google Ads and Meta Ads
Fraud Blocker Standard is $79 a month on monthly billing for 5,000 ad clicks, 1 website and 3 team members. An ad click is a paid click on the ad accounts you connect. It protects Google Ads through IP exclusions and Meta Ads through an excluded audience. AI detection and email verification start on Pro, from $99 a month on monthly billing for 10,000 ad clicks.
For Microsoft Ads it gives an exported IP list to paste in by hand, because its direct protection there ended on October 11, 2024.
The terms call the free trial on Standard usually 7 days and charge the chosen plan automatically when it ends, so cancel before then to avoid the charge. It lets a small account set Fraud Blocker's click report beside Google's own count. Fraud Blocker pricing covers the Pro slider.

When a small account needs no tool yet
Fraud Blocker's own article says protection is usually unnecessary for small, tightly controlled search campaigns in low-fraud niches, and typically worth it from $3,000 to 5,000+ a month of spend. The plumbing company at about $4,000 a month sits inside that range and still has the free checks.
The same article says to take a baseline first: 30 to 60 days of invalid interaction rate, conversion rate, cost per conversion and bounce rate from paid traffic. Best click fraud protection software compares all five tools by meter and job.
