Ad clicks against ad spend: how each bills

Fraud Blocker counts ad clicks; at a plan's limit the service pauses until your next billing cycle unless you upgrade. ClickGuard counts monthly ad spend, the dollars you spend on ads in a month, with unlimited clicks: Lite covers up to 5k, Standard up to 50k and Pro up to 100k. If you regularly pass a tier, it says it will tell you and help you choose a better fit.

The two meters do not convert into each other, so set monthly billing beside monthly and annual beside yearly. Clicks equal spend divided by cost per click. A personal injury law firm that pays a high cost per click buys few clicks per dollar, so a click allowance covers more of its spend. A store with many cheap clicks reaches that allowance sooner and suits a spend meter.

Networks: Google, Meta and Microsoft Ads

Fraud Blocker blocks directly only on Google Ads and Meta Ads. For Microsoft Ads it exports an IP list that you paste into your campaigns by hand. Its help center says direct Microsoft Ads protection was discontinued on October 11, 2024, because Microsoft provides no API for IP exclusions, and it states Microsoft's limit as 100 IP exclusions per campaign.

ClickGuard Lite protects one of Google, Meta or Microsoft Ads on one website. Standard and Pro protect all three. Its home page lists Search, Display, Shopping, Video, Discovery and Performance Max campaigns.

Fraud Blocker and ClickCease say Microsoft Ads offers no API for IP exclusions, while ClickGuard's help center describes IP and audience exclusions on Microsoft Ads, so ask ClickGuard which of them it applies to your account.
