Try Fraud Blocker →Why Meta Ads needs a different kind of block
Fraud Blocker's pages say Meta Ads, Facebook and Instagram included, offers no IP exclusions, where Google Ads does. So Fraud Blocker builds a Custom Audience of bad users and excludes it from your ad sets.
Meta's own pages say it does not count impressions from invalid traffic it detects, such as bots, and that you pay by link click or by 1,000 impressions, depending on your goal. Meta also says third-party analytics that place a click by IP address can show clicks outside your target area, because those tools use only the IP address to find a location.
Fraud Blocker on Facebook and Instagram
Every Fraud Blocker plan, Standard included, protects Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram. Connecting Meta needs a Meta Business account and a Meta Pixel, and you choose the ad sets that get the exclusion. Fraud Blocker says Facebook may put ads back into review after that targeting change.
It works only on campaigns that send people to your website, where its tag sits, and does not support Poll, Video, Lead (forms inside Facebook) or Call ads. Its pages do not say whether Meta Ads clicks count toward the 5,000 paid ad clicks on Standard.
Monitoring Only Mode removes the exclusions Fraud Blocker added in Google or Meta, but billing continues, because a subscription cannot be paused. The 7-day free trial applies to Standard and Pro, and the chosen plan is charged automatically when it ends. Fraud Blocker review covers the rest of the product.
ClickCease, ClickGuard and the rest on Meta
ClickCease lists Meta on every plan. Its support center says it protects only ads that lead to your own site, so video ads, form generation ads and impression campaigns are not covered, and it needs its tracking code and a Facebook pixel on the site.
ClickGuard Lite protects one of Meta, Microsoft or Google Ads, and Standard covers all three. TrafficGuard puts Meta on its custom plan, with its site tag across your website, while Shield covers Google Search. Lunio lists Meta among its networks, and Opticks Security blocks on Meta from Pro.
Running Google Ads and Meta Ads on one plan
Fraud Blocker Standard covers Google Ads and Meta Ads for $79 a month on monthly billing, with 5,000 ad clicks and one website. ClickCease Starter lists both at $99 a month for 5k total traffic. ClickGuard Lite covers one of the two for $89 a month, and Standard covers both at $149 a month for 5k to 10k monthly ad spend.
Pick Fraud Blocker Standard when Google Ads and Meta Ads run side by side and visitors land on your website. Pick ClickCease when you run Meta, Google and Microsoft Ads and want one entry plan that lists all three, noting that its support center calls Microsoft Ads monitoring only. Pick ClickGuard Lite for Meta Ads alone. For the Google side, see click fraud protection for Google Ads, and for the full field, best click fraud protection software.
